I am concerned about the sophistication of pleasures nowadays. The young in particular seem to despise in a virulent manner basic pleasures of life. For them, a pleasure is either genuinely new and complex or is not. Doesn't this continuous search for the fashionable and new violate the very definition of »pleasure?«
