What would a childhood be without a moon to wonder on?

Only in our time »childhood« has a signifance, only some hundred year ago a child was a human being, who still has to grow. Childhood was the state of »not-yet-being-complete«. Today we know, that childhood is an important stage in one's life – and has a significance of its own. Usually we think, childhood is a time of luck and playing, not worrying. So many of us wish, we could stay children forever. There was a time, when I wished that, too. But I understood, that growing up does not mean getting colder or loosing any of the fun, you can have as a child. Nobody hinders us to laugh and dance. Being adult surely is not easy – but being a child isn't easy, either.

In childhood we still believe in Gnomes and Unicorns.

»Give me a child till the age of seven and it matters not what comes afterwards....«(St. Augustine). Hmmm, depends who you give them to.

And it was morning.
And I found myself mourning,
for a childhood that I thought had disappeared.
I looked out the window,
And I saw a magpie in the rainbow, the rain had gone
I'm not alone, I turned to the mirror,
I saw you, the child, that once loved.
The child before they broke his heart,
Our heart, the heart that I believed was lost.

I sometimes wish I could be a child again that doesn't know that we all get older and colder...
