We are all part lizard, just as we are all part rat, monkey and fish. It's to do with evolution. I myself am most lizardlike first thing in the morning, and can only concern myself with hot tea, breakfast and ill-tempered remarks. Oh, and catching flies with my tongue.
The lounge-lizard, however, inhabits the cool, dark cocktail lounge and with its long shooty-out tongue tempts visiting young women with suggestions of delights that will never be.
The best part of being a lizard must be basking on rocks in the sun. Humans aren't really cut out for this.
